Enrollment   |   Involvement

Gentle Dragon Preschool enrolls 13 children ages 2.9 through 5 years. Admissions priority is given to siblings of current and alumni families. Further selection is based on our commitment to balance each class by age, gender and cultural diversity, and to foster a community of families who are enthusiastic about being part of a cooperative school. We do not discriminate in providing services to children and their families on the basis of race, religion, cultural heritage, national origin, political beliefs, sexual orientation, marital status or disability.

If you're interested in joining our preschool community, please email school_info@gentledragonpreschool.org or call 781-391-2301.

Schedule and tuition

Gentle Dragon operates from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm, Monday through Friday, September through July. We are closed for the month of August. School holidays and vacations follow the Medford Public Schools calendar. Families may elect to send children 3, 4 or 5 days per week.

2017-2018 tuition rates:
3 days per week = $510 per month
4 days per week = $554 per month
5 days per week = $586 per month

A $40 daily fee is charged if families wish to send their child to school for an occasional extra day. Families may opt to increase or decrease the number of days their child attends during the course of the school year.

Because our year runs through July, families are responsible for eleven months of tuition. Our tuition cannot be prorated to accommodate family vacations or planned absences from school.

If a family has more than one child attending Gentle Dragon at the same time, there are two options:
  • Pay full tuition for both children and have 1½ parent helper responsibility
  • Take on twice the parent helper responsibility and get a 10% reduction in total tuition
